Heslop Contract Casters (HCC) Pty Ltd was formed as a result of a merger in October, 2005 between Heslop Diecasters Pty Ltd and Contract Castings Pty Ltd.
Heslop Diecasters was founded by the late Ian Heslop and began manufacturing in 1954.
Ian built the Heslop name on the back of engineering and fabrication feats in the early days before progressing into state of the art die casting and ancillary equipment.
The Heslop name has become synonymous with innovation in the die casting industry from those early days over 50 years. Ian is survived in the new entity by his son Matthew Heslop.
Contract Castings was founded by Graham Bell in 1996, an industry veteran specializing in Brass die casting and forging, Zinc and Aluminium die casting.
Contract Castings specialized in high quality finishes for the automotive and architectural hardware industries and through the determination of its management and culture of its staff achieved industry recognition for die casting excellence.
Heslop Diecasters' facilities in the northern suburbs of Melbourne was an obvious choice for the merger as the plant had already undergone major renovations in 1994 to suit the requirements of high pressure die casting and secondary processes.
